About Aiegelesswords

Aiegelesswords, a.k.a. Aiege (rhymes with beige), is a Black author and poet whose work explores the tender themes of love, depression, heartbreak, and healing. What began as a personal practice of journaling her journey to process emotions in poetry has grown into a body of work that resonates deeply with readers who see their own stories reflected in her words.

What I do grasp gives way for me to begin to see, that's there more than meets the eye when it comes to being me.
- "In Place", The Power of Poetry by Aiegelesswords

Her poetry is raw, honest, and unafraid to hold space for vulnerability. She writes about the ways love can both hurt and heal us, the darkness of depression, and the courage it takes to rebuild oneself after loss. At the same time, her work offers the light of life through reminders of resilience, self-discovery, and the quiet triumphs that mark the path toward healing.

A writer's words engrave you forever in history through a God-given gift.

Through her books, spoken word, and connection with her community, Aiegelesswords has created a safe space where truth is honored and healing provides hope. Her writing is both a mirror and a balm: reflecting life’s hardest truths while offering the possibility of renewal. She believes that even in brokenness, beauty can be found, and through her poetry, she seeks to help others uncover that truth for themselves.

My Writing Journey

Journaling the Journey

It started as catharsis in journals and diaries to empty emotions on the page, make sense of sadness and hold on to happiness.

Tapping in to Share

Taking the words from page to post, what was written now became spoken for people to connect all over the world.

The Power of Poetry

Engraving words in the history, written and spoken words became typed text through many edits and creative brainstorming.
